    • StorageTek offers a range of tape libraries. Recommended library systems for use with Avid workflows are as follows:
      • SL500 - small system
        • LTO-only system can start as a 50 slot/single drive configuration and grow to a 577 slot/2 drive configuration within a single, 19" rack footprint
      • L700 - medium system
        • 678 slots with four drives; expandable from a single to a dual frame configuration with up to 1344 slots
      • SL8500 - large system
        • Starts at 1456 slots and 4 drives, and can expand up to 300,000 slots and more than 2000 drives
